Zephyr Press does not have a one-size-fits-all protocol for submissions. Many of our manuscripts come from translators, and some from the poets themselves. We also actively seek out writers and translators whose work we are interested in. Nevertheless, we do look at and publish manuscripts that come to us completely unsolicited — after all, we are in this business because we want to read what’s out there.

After you have become familiar with our books, if you think you have a project that fits our list, please feel free to send a proposal and a representative sample of the work. (But please also recognize that it is easy to spot inappropriate submissions from those who have not taken the time to get to know Zephyr.
